CRAFTED ELEGANCE

Deepika Govind’s entry into the India Fashion Week’s second installment makes a strong statement – clever contemporizing of India’s ancient crafts.

The craft of cutwork is taken to a new level as it is used to create entire garments in Western silhouettes.

KHADI IN A NEW AVATAR

Deepika Govind achieves a breakthrough in fabric innovation-blending the  traditional khadi (both cotton and silk), with eco-fiber tencel (cellulosic fiber obtained from the tree bark) .

The results are  remarkable, creating a ‘cosmopolitan cloth’, as deepika calls it, making khadi stronger, more drapy and fluid , more soft and supple, and eminently more versatile.
